Fox Valley market update June 8 2019. New listings of single family homes were up this week! 401 this week compared to 359 the week before. Good news for buyer’s that are out there trying to find a home.

Closed single family homes were also up. 326 this week compared to 296 the week before. That is surprising for the beginning of the month. Most buyer’s want to close at the end of the month.

So far May is the busiest month for both new listings and closed single family homes.

Contracts on single family homes were up this week. 336 this week compared to 285 the week before. This next week should be good as well with all the new listings.

These numbers, even though we do not know if they will all close, give you an idea of closings to come. It shows you which months are more active with buyer’s out there ready to buy.

There was only 1 short sales accepted by a seller this week and it was in Plainfield. Last week there were 2. We are happy to see these numbers remain low.
Seller’s accepted contracts this week that are contingent on the buyer closing on their current home. 9 with a kick-out clause of 72 hours, 16 with 48 hours and 2 with 24 hours.
Contracts were also accepted by seller’s that are contingent on the buyer selling and closing on their current home. 3 with a kick-out clause of 72 hours, 7 with 48 hours and 4 with 24 hours.
